3 Faces

Three quick studies that I pencilled and painted tonight. I only spent about twenty minutes per face. I am trying to improve my painting speed, and the ability to make fast color choices. I have a long way to go.

Aztec Vampire

A quick study I started late last night. I have been watching lots of Vampire flicks lately. Bram Stokers Dracula, Dusk 'till Dawn, and Blade 2. So I figured I had to do one of my own. I borrowed reference from all three films, as well as others to come up with this guy. I hopefully will have time to do his wife soon.

Sea Spell

I decided to do some corrections on it this weekend. I like it better now.

Sea Spell

I was messing around with mermaid concepts and instead came up with an atlantean sorceress whose familiar is the octopus. It was very challenging to create an entire underwater scene. I'm thinking about doing the atlantean wizard next.

Defending the garden

I did this pencil drawing a while ago and have finally decided to post it. I will be painting it this weekend, so the finished will be up mid to late next week. Hopefully it will come out right, I have never attempted to paint something this ornate before.

Like father...like son.

I was wanting to do a family photo piece. Something that reflected the bond between family members, a touching moment if you will. The I went waaaaaay off into left field. I thought, what about a mafia family photo. Father and son, in a touching, and monumental moment for the family. Tony "the nose" Scaletti has just whacked Johnny "the iron lung" Lombardi. And at this joyous moment Tony's father Fabrizio "small hands" Scaletti is so proud of his son. Tony "the nose" has moved up in the Family. This was done in Corel and PS2.Good times.

Another study. I had lots of fun creating motion in her clothing. If your girlfriend has this look on her face, it is the beginning of the end, my friend.
Another study from photo. I learned a lot from this one. I feel that i got to apply what I learned from Clothed Figure 1. Thanks CB!

Skull

This is a drawing that I did for Anatomy 1. I have it framed and hung in my apartment.
