I never post any of my sketches so here's a few recent ones. These are some Alladin concepts and a study of my favorite model Yasmine Warsame.

Vlad The Impaler Vers.1.0

I believe that if Vampires truly existed they would not be soap-opera hearthrobs with pearly white fangs. They would be true demons. Obscene, repulsive and vile in every way imaginable.

Study

Pulled this out of my sketchbook and painted it in about an hour and a half. Trying to learn how to use the camel oils ( I suck at real Oils ) and some new textures. Semester is almost over!!!!!!!

Finished Alladin

This is as finished as it's gonna get. Is it me, or does he kinda look like Persian Barbie?

Doodle

Staying up waaaaay too late and playing on the computer! Trying to learn how to use more texture in my paintings.

Some Heads

This is how I keep my Heads and Hands class a little more interesting for me. I painted this face a few days ago, and doodled over it today for fun. Crude stuff, but fun doodling!

Concept

Just started with a figure study and this character came out. So, I decided to try different things and see how many ways I could take the character by changing the face and hair. Fun excercise!

Belker

For ILL 2. we had to re-imagine a Dungeons and Dragons character and mine was the Belker. This is the face design, more to come soon.

Character design

Another late-nighter. This is another quick concept for the story I am developing. Illustration 2 will be kicking my a@% from now on so this might be the last finished piece for a while.

The late night sketch-a- thon continues. Tired of looking at this one, time to move on. This was done completely in PainterX.

Art Nouveau??

Playing around really late last night and came up with this sketch. My humble homage to the style of Gustav Klimt. Oh and that's supposed to be a man's heart in her hands, not a tomato.

Sci-Fi Portrait

Something I started on last night. Just another fun experimental painting.

Concepts

These are my projects for the last couple of weeks. I've been watching massive amounts of tutorials and trying to learn Painter X backwards so It has been a very busy month and I have only scratched the surface. These pieces were done in Painter X only, no photoshop. Once again just trying to experiment with brush techniques and find my own way within the program using a very limited color palette. I find that I like the expressive and gestural approach to digital painting versus the tight rendered style. On the second piece I did get a little tighter than usual and I was happy with how it came out, though it was exhausting having to stare at the same painting for over fifteen hours.

Hopefully I will be able to put out a few more before fall semester begins!

She came back

This started as a painting of a beautiful girl and evolved into this instead. Still trying to stay loose and gestural, just blocking in shapes and using mostly hard brushes.
